INTERNATIONAL DAY AGAINST HOMOPHOBIA
"IDAHO" takes place on May 17th every year.

There are still 77 countries in the world where  it is a criminal offence to be gay.  IDAHO provides a platform for people to speak out against  the injustice of homophobia and its damaging effects on lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people, both in other countries and right here in the UK.

Check out www.idaho.org.uk for more information and ideas about ways to mark the day, such as flying a rainbow flag or writing in support of LGBT asylum seekers facing deportation and by the UK Home Office and possible violence or even execution in their own country.
